The British Library Business & IP Centre, which opened in 2006, has a track record in supporting entrepreneurs and business owners (especially women and BAME) to start up and run viable businesses, thus creating a pipeline to scale-ups. To date, over 650,000 people have used the Centre and it has rolled out this model to 10 regional city libraries with the aim of reaching 20 by 2020/21.
