With nearly 300 innovators, Digital Catapult has a national footprint across London, the South West and Wales, the North East, and Northern Ireland. Its place-based approach to innovation enables deep tech companies to scale successfully across the country. This is achieved by convening expertise, providing digital innovation services, and offering access to world-class facilities including the UK Digital Twin Centre in Northern Ireland, and the UK’s first Open Testing and Integration Centre (OTIC) in London, to accelerate Open RAN innovation.
Digital Catapult also delivers innovation and accelerator programmes that help deep tech companies commercialise their solutions. These interventions provide founders with investment-readiness support, innovation and technology consultancy, and access to testbed facilities to trial and validate new products and services.
Digital Catapult’s capabilities and expertise focus on addressing major challenges and opportunities facing the UK economy and society. The organisation focuses on the creative industries, energy and utilities, defence and security, and digital infrastructure, which are sectors where deep tech holds the most potential. It also drives industrial supply chain resilience and supports the deployment and development of open and future networks across the UK.
