Sharing in Growth (SiG) is a leading UK transformation and productivity-improvement programme focused on manufacturing and engineering scaling firms. Established initially to strengthen the aerospace supply chain, it now operates across defence, renewables, nuclear and wider advanced engineering sectors. SiG provides intensive, long-term support to scaling companies, combining diagnostics, tailored consultancy and embedded coaching with workforce development, change-management expertise and targeted skills uplift. Delivery is undertaken by a team of around 100 industry specialists, supplemented by discrete modules such as the six-month Team Leader Academy, which offers structured, in-person training to build frontline leadership capability.

The programme typically follows a multi-year engagement model. Businesses begin with a structured diagnostic to assess leadership, operational performance, supply-chain capability and future growth potential. This is followed by a period of intensive development activity, in which SiG specialists work closely with the senior team to build leadership capability, introduce operational excellence disciplines, strengthen governance and support the adoption of new processes and behaviours. A sustainment phase then helps embed these improvements and ensure long-term resilience. The programme is targeted at firms with established operational capability and the potential to scale further, particularly those embedded in complex or high-value manufacturing and engineering supply chains.

Over the past year, SiG has continued to demonstrate strong and sustained impact. Scaling companies have now secured £9 billion in customer contracts linked in part to SiG-supported improvements, with many engagements achieving a 3:1 ROI in the first 12 months and some firms reporting 15%+ annual growth. External assessments highlight improvements in leadership behaviours, operational performance and organisational resilience. The programme has also received sector recognition, including being named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in Consulting & Professional Services™ 2025. Since its establishment, SiG has supported more than a hundred firms across the UK, delivering extensive volumes of leadership and workforce training, operational improvement activity and specialist coaching.

SiG’s delivery model is reinforced by partnerships with leading academic and technical organisations, bringing in expertise that supports firms through product introduction, supply-chain development, operational excellence and culture change. The programme’s emphasis on embedded, partnership-based intervention enables scaling companies to address both strategic and operational challenges, while strengthening management capability and improving workforce skills. This combination of senior leadership development, operational discipline and workforce engagement remains a defining feature of the programme.

As a mature, impact-led intervention, SiG illustrates how deep, partnership-based support can strengthen the competitiveness of UK industrial supply chains. Its integrated model, combining leadership development, operational excellence and workforce capability-building, continues to help firms raise productivity, secure higher-value contracts and develop resilient, future-ready workforces.
