Insight Partners is a prominent global venture capital and private equity firm based in New York City, recognised for investing in and scaling up software and technology companies across all growth stages. Founded in 1995, the firm employs a strategy called “ScaleUp velocity” to help its portfolio companies accelerate growth through operational expertise, data, and access to a vast network of technical and strategic talent. Historically focused on the US, Insight Partners has significantly expanded its global reach, becoming one of the most active investors in high-growth European and Israeli technology firms. The firm manages over $90 billion in regulatory assets under management and has invested in more than 800 companies worldwide, with more than 55 of these achieving IPOs.
Operating from its headquarters in New York City and regional hubs in London and Tel Aviv, Insight Partners maintains a strong international presence. The London office serves as the strategic centre for the firm’s EMEA operations, concentrating on investment activity, business development, and portfolio support across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The firm’s investments typically range from $5 million to over $500 million per company, spanning early growth rounds through to buyouts and pre-IPO financing. Its sectoral focus is broad, covering areas such as Architecture, Engineering & Construction, BioTech, Education, Energy & Climate, and Manufacturing. In addition to providing capital, Insight Partners delivers extensive operational support through Insight Onsite, a dedicated advisory function that offers hands-on expertise in product development, go-to-market strategy, talent acquisition, and scaling operations.
Between 2018 and June 2025, Insight Partners participated in 40 fundraising rounds in 26 UK companies, whose average turnover was £38.2 million and average headcount 163 employees. Scaleups they have invested in include Xelix, an AI-driven accounting software firm, contributing to a £118 million funding round in 2025, and in Sedna, an online email collaboration platform, participating in a £32.5 million round in 2024.
Beyond investment, Insight Partners offers a suite of programmes designed to help enterprises and scaleups accelerate growth. The IGNITE Enterprise Accelerator (IEA), a six-month, cohort-based initiative, brings together enterprise executives, founders, and investment experts through curated learning and networking experiences. The inaugural 2023 cohort featured over 550 participants from 75+ enterprises, and by 2024 this expanded to 800 participants from 140+ companies, including Reckitt and Adaptive Shield. Centred on four tracks—Cybersecurity, Data & AI, Digital Experience, and Modern Infrastructure & Developer Ecosystem—the programme offers structured development for corporate CIOs and technology leaders from companies such as Bayer, Mercedes Benz, Reckitt, and UnitedHealth Group. The IEA also collaborates with the T200 Foundation to promote women executives in technology, offering them advisory and networking opportunities.
Complementing this is the Enterprise Technology Exchange (ETX), an 18-month advisory initiative launched in 2022 that convenes Global 2000 CIOs and technology leaders to collaborate with Insight’s portfolio companies on shaping future technology strategies. The 2024 cohort includes executives from BMW Group, Lego, Stanley Black & Decker, AstraZeneca, Orange, and Adecco.
Insight Partners also promotes thought leadership through its annual ScaleUp:AI conference, first held in 2022, which gathers AI builders, executives, and innovators to explore AI innovation and adoption. The 2025 conference will take place in New York City on 7 October 2025, continuing its focus on advancing AI best practices and fostering collaboration between entrepreneurs and enterprise leaders.
In 2025, Insight Partners reinforced its global position by announcing the closing of its thirteenth flagship fund and a structured equity fund (Fund XIII), representing $12.5 billion in deployable capital for software companies worldwide. The firm’s UK operations have remained central to its international strategy, underscored by publications such as Insight’s AI Report 2025 and the Cybersecurity Report 2025, both released through its UK branch. The renewal of the UK’s data adequacy status with the European Commission in July 2025 further supports the operations and digital trade of Insight’s portfolio companies, a development that underpins the firm’s commitment to the UK and European markets.
