Local LEP ScaleUp Programmes

The LEP’s key scale-up programme is being delivered in partnership with Evelyn Partners, helping selected cohorts of owners and directors to develop an action plan for growth covering key areas including creating foundations for growth, raising finance, attracting talent and operating effectively at scale. Launched in 2022, the new Business Growth Groups in collaboration with Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Evolve, offers tailored one-to-one specialist support covering business strategy, attracting talent, funding for growth, international trade and exporting to new markets as well as leadership, financial resilience and net zero. The LEP’s fully funded bid writing support service has helped Dorset businesses attract more than £1m in grant funding 2021/2022. Access to infrastructure for local scaleups is available through Its ongoing partnership with the Arts University Bournemouth through its Innovation Studio acting as a hub for industry engagement and operating tailored design innovation support for female entrepreneurs; the Defence Battle Lab, jointly funded by the LEP and MOD, offering test and trial defence solutions along with conference and events spaces.
