Local LEP ScaleUp Programmes

EM3’s core Growth Service model is to provide business support and advice to scaleups within identified priority sectors. This is delivered through a small full-time team with senior commercial backgrounds and over 15 sector experts who have experienced scaling. This model continues to grow and the LEP has engaged additional sector specialists to work with the gaming sector, the Satellite and Space EM3 cluster as well as the emerging Animal Health research and development work undertaken at the University of Surrey.
Over the last year the LEP has facilitated a Peer Network programme on behalf of BEIS aimed at scaling businesses and implemented a Net Zero information and specialist service for all Growth Hub clients. The LEP continues to recognise the importance of developing close partnerships with the local ecosystem, including local authorities, universities, private businesses and public sector organisations. The Growth Hub director leads on a quarterly EM3 business support forum including Chambers, FSB, Innovate UK, DIT, EEN and Tech Nation to share best practice and activities.
