The advisers currently provide tailored advice and support through a wide number of programmes within the LLEP area, ensuring access to services that encourage growth, innovation and finance as well as a peer network. There are also a number of sector-specific programmes supporting creative businesses, fashion and textiles as well as food and drink plus an international trade programme offering businesses hands-on support, guidance and funding to realise their global trade potential.
In June the LEP ran a series of webinars on green issues covering topics such as funding and green innovations. The Business Gateway is also giving 100 businesses the opportunity to use a new digital platform – Zellar – to monitor and reduce their carbon emissions. The pilot began in September and will last 12 months.
