Local LEP ScaleUp Programmes

New Anglia LEP is working with a wide range of partners to target and engage with businesses with high growth potential. As part of the ‘Scale Up New Anglia Programme’, the LEP has identified around 1,300 businesses with the greatest growth potential that could benefit from a wide range of business support. The plan is to turn these 1,300 ‘Silver’ businesses into ‘Gold’ scaleup businesses.

Identified businesses are being offered a dedicated Adviser to help them explore barriers to growth as well as look at potential solutions. As part of this process, the LEP is bringing Silver and Gold businesses together to share experiences and work together to identify bespoke support provided through schemes such as the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK programme.

Scaleup Views

The key barriers to growth are access to infrastructure/premises and broadband, access to UK markets and access to public sector support and funding for r&d and innovation. They are looking for support through banks and other financial suppliers, including the British Business Bank, Innovate UK and local universities / business schools.
