Local LEP ScaleUp Programmes

SEMLEP has a dedicated programme for high-growth businesses: Growth Curve run by the LEP’s Growth Hub in partnership with the Universities of Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire and Cranfield University. As part of the programme, businesses take part in a specialist university masterclass, receive one-to-one support from a high growth business adviser and have access to a grant programme and peer network. Between July 2019 and September 2021 over 200 high-growth businesses received support from high growth business advisers with nearly 150 benefitting further through university masterclasses.
Businesses in the area can also apply for finance through the Midlands Engine Investment Fund. The LEP also provides a Peer Networks programme launched in Autumn 2020 to create a collaborative environment for business leaders to work through the common issues they are currently facing. The programme is led by expert facilitators who can offer support and coaching on relevant topics.
