Local LEP ScaleUp Programmes
The LEP is committed to developing services that help businesses to scale up in a way that delivers wide societal, environmental and economic impacts across the region. It has moved away from a sector specific approach to focus on the ambitions, opportunities and growth potential of businesses across the region.
The LEP works closely with partners to support them in designing business services that are based on extensive analysis and new programmes focused on scaleups will be continued in the coming year. Business leaders are supported by the Growth Hub for the LEP with services including digital resources, telephone signposting to funding and a small team of dedicated business relationship managers who work with businesses face to face to help them to realise their ambitions.
To help businesses develop the right skills to grow, it invested in 1,775 businesses’ skills and training support, through Skills Support for the Workforce. By the end of 2020, another 1000 businesses will have received this support.
