Computer science now “most popular major” for Stanford female students
Computer science has for the first time become the most popular major for female students at Stanford University, accounting for about 30 percent in that department. “We’ve crossed that threshold where women feel supported and comfortable,” says Eric Roberts, a Stanford professor emeritus of computer science.
