Founders4Schools is an educational-tech charity giving children and young people the opportunity to meet the people who are creating the jobs of tomorrow in their classrooms today.

The charity’s objective is to achieve three main outcomes:

  • To tackle inequality by providing equal access to the world of work
  • To support young people by connecting what they learn with the world of work
  • To provide young people with the confidence to allow them to take the next steps in finding their future roles in the workplace

To do so it works with volunteer business leaders drawn from startup and scaleup businesses and provides a simple free-to-use digital platform for educators to connect with local business leaders and professionals. It supports educators from primary and secondary schools and colleges to organise programme of student-employer encounters for their students, including careers fairs, mentoring sessions, interview practice and career talks.

F4S also developed the innovative Workfinder service to help young people search for work experience. This year – after three years of R&D and endorsement from government departments and industry bodies – Workfinder has been spun out to provide talent acquisition services for scaleups via work experience and internships.
