Grow London Global, previously the Mayor of London’s International Business Programme (MIBP), provides tailored support for scaleups to expand their businesses internationally. Participants access high-impact events, workshops, trade missions, and networking opportunities that accelerate market entry and investment success.
Building on its foundations and evolving over time, the programme has strengthened its capacity to deliver dedicated, data-driven support for scaleups. London & Partners’ teams and relationship managers are based in London and 13 international cities across North America, Europe, China, and India, collaborating with local ecosystems to offer market insights and practical guidance. Participants benefit from an expanded network of expert partners delivering specialist support in finance, HR, law, tax, and technology. New strategic partners include CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA) for financial services, Deel for global HR and payroll, and TwentyAI for talent acquisition, complementing long-standing partners such as Oury Clark, HSBC Innovation Banking, KPMG, Wilson Sonsini, Bridgehead and GrantTree.
Recent trade missions highlight Grow London Global’s global reach. The UK-NYC Venture Connect event gave London scaleups the chance to pitch to investors such as FTV Capital and Index Ventures, while a RetailTech trade mission to New York connected 15 scaleups with more than 45 global brands, including Walmart, Michael Kors, Shiseido, and Tapestry, and key investors such as XRC Ventures and Headline. In 2025, the programme also led the first-ever Mayor of London trade mission to Africa, visiting Lagos, Nairobi, and Cape Town, where 26 of London’s most innovative scaleups met with 110 major investors and corporates including Google, Safaricom, UNDP, and Deloitte, resulting in new partnerships and business wins.
Since inception, Grow London Global has supported 533 companies and so far graduated 215, representing a 66% trade mission participation rate. Participants experienced a doubling of turnover, from an average of £3.25 million pre-programme to £6.54 million at graduation, and achieved £709 million in total turnover growth. Export revenues rose by 168%, amounting to £487 million, while the programme contributed £484 million in GVA to London’s economy.
Grow London Global’s global network now spans 30 international trade missions, helping 62% of programme participants enter new export markets. Among these, 40% of non-exporters began exporting during the programme, while 75% of already exporting companies increased their turnover abroad. The programme continues to demonstrate exceptional impact, delivering an NPS of 59, reflecting consistently high participant satisfaction. To date, three cohorts have completed the programme, underscoring its sustained delivery and growing influence within London’s scaleup ecosystem.
In 2024, the programme expanded beyond London for the first time, collaborating with the West Midlands Growth Company, Scottish Enterprise, and Essex County Council to engage ambitious tech scaleups from across the UK. This regional partnership broadens the programme’s network and fosters stronger collaboration across national innovation ecosystems. The recent introduction of Pre Global, a six-month pathway for underrepresented founders, further enhances inclusivity, initially supporting 15 female-founded companies to build skills, attract investment, and prepare for international expansion.
Grow London Global also introduced a no-cost Talent Advisory Service to help scaleups hire and retain top talent in London. Using data tools, inclusive hiring practices, and university partnerships, this service enables businesses to build high-performing teams. The newly launched Insights Exchange provides market intelligence, while AI and advanced analytics enhance performance tracking and tailored recommendations, giving founders deeper insights for international scaling. Notable scaling businesses with the programme’s alumni include some of London’s most innovative and fast-growing companies, such as Notpla, Robin AI, Yoto, and Charisma AI.
