The HorizonMethod is a fast-paced, evidence-based approach at the core of all Horizon37 programmes. Developed by their founders and supported through research with Cambridge Judge Business School, St John’s Innovation Centre and Cranfield School of Management, it supports scaling leaders, executive teams, boards, and investors in transforming leadership, commercialising innovation, and building value for successful business outcomes.

Tailored to time-constrained leaders, the HorizonMethod underpins a range of programmes that vary in duration and cost based on the challenges faced. Taking a whole-team approach, it ensures alignment on key objectives, fosters collaboration, and embeds a culture of growth.

Its bespoke tools include the Leadership Readiness™ Check which creates an overall readiness to scale, Leadership LaunchPad™ for personal leadership development, and Hey360™, a customised assessment delivering actionable, anonymised feedback. Recent innovations have added LENA, an AI-powered Digital Mindset Auditor developed with Langwith, and upgrades to the Coaching Dashboard and other delivery modules that deepen insights and one-to-one coaching. The Leadership Mindsets Festival now brings leaders together to explore mindset-driven performance and growth. Expert leadership partners further support scaleups in becoming more resilient, agile, and investor-ready, while Horizon37 continues to deploy the HorizonMethod in their work with venture capitalists and portfolio companies across high-growth sectors including environment, energy, health and medical, fintech, deep tech, and space.

Horizon37’s ongoing Leadership Mindset Research (2024–25) reinforces these innovations. Analysing 400 mindsets from 150 scaleup leaders, it found 76% were unhelpful, often driven by worry or uncertainty. Leaders who practised empowering mindsets achieved a 3x uplift in decision-making, stakeholder engagement, revenue growth, and stress management. Agility, emerged as the key differentiator of top-performing leaders and now underpins all HorizonMethod programmes.

Since 2017, over 850 leaders have been supported, including 51 in 2025 alone, across 338 scaling and early-stage scaleup businesses. Employment growth has normalised at 33.8% annually (following a post-pandemic peak of 63% in 2024), reflecting sustainable performance. Collectively, 146 businesses have raised £2.17 billion since 2019, with £825 million secured in recent funding rounds across 106 businesses since 2021. Participants continue to report measurable improvements, with an 11% average uplift in readiness to scale after three or more workshops, up to 60% improvement in leadership alignment, and 93% citing a valuable, positive difference in leadership performance.

With Cranfield School of Management, Horizon37’s Leadership Proliferation Threshold (LPT) research identified 18 components essential to scale up success, including culture, direction-setting, performance management, and feedback. These findings inform tools such as outcome frameworks, readiness benchmarking, and the use of Programme Directors and Results Managers strengthen clarity, quality assurance, accountability, and adaptability. Together, these developments enable leaders to transform their impact, accelerate growth, and lead with agility in complex, high-growth environments.

“The shared leadership language and expectations generated during Horizon37’s sessions has improved efficiency of communication and is helping ensure the leadership team are aligned and pulling in the same direction. The team dynamics and performance has been noticeably enhanced during the programme and it feels that we are truly prepared for the next phase in our scale-up journey.”Catherine Elton, CEO, Qkine
