Livingbridgeis a private equity firm with more than 25 years’ experience, having made over 170 investments across four sectors – technology, services, healthcare & education, and consumer. It typically invests between £15 million and £300 million, taking both majority and minority stakes, and has a flexible approach which includes providing growth capital as well as funding management buy-outs, secondary buy-outs and replacement capital deals. It targets high-growth, entrepreneurial businesses with enterprise values of up to £300 million and currently manages approximately £3.5 billion in assets.
In the period between 2017 to June 2024, the firm invested a total of £353m in 19 UK companies in 22 fundraising rounds. The average turnover of those companies was £51.9m and their average number of employees was 424.
Scaleups in its portfolio include wellness brand Absolute Collagen, insurance brokers Jensten Group, telecoms services provider FluidOne, and circular economy pioneer World of Books.
The firm has offices in London, Birmingham and Manchester and an Australian office in Melbourne to make primary investments in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. It has an office in Boston and a US industry advisory board to support expansion and M&A in the US.
Livingbridge has developed its “growth accelerators” – in-house core value creation capabilities designed to unlock a business’s potential – with expertise spanning international growth, corporate development, customer acquisition and retention, talent and technology. Responsible investment is a core part of its strategy: in 2024 it secured validation of its science-based carbon targets, launched the Livingbridge Future Board Leaders Programme to improve diversity at board level, and expanded its Cyber Resilience Programme to strengthen portfolio companies’ security. Its CRESS framework (Compliance, Risk, Environment, Social & Stewardship) underpins governance and risk management, and it collects more than 150 ESG KPIs annually through the Worldfavor platform to track and improve performance.
